🔵 School & Universities Recycling FAQs

1. Can you collect IT equipment during school holidays?

Yes. School holidays are often the ideal time for large ICT refresh projects. We regularly arrange collections during half terms and summer holidays to minimise disruption to teaching and staff.

2. Can you collect from multiple schools within an academy trust?

Yes. We can organise collections from individual schools, colleges or multiple sites within a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT), providing a consistent service and documentation across every location.

3. How is student and staff data securely destroyed?

All data-bearing equipment is securely erased using recognised data destruction methods or physically destroyed where required. Certificates of Data Destruction and supporting documentation are provided for your records.

4. Do you provide Waste Transfer Notes and Certificates of Destruction?

Yes. Every qualifying collection includes the appropriate documentation, including Waste Transfer Notes, Certificates of Data Destruction and additional asset reporting where required.

5. Can you collect old Chromebooks, laptops and classroom PCs?

Yes. We collect a wide range of educational IT equipment including laptops, Chromebooks, desktop computers, Apple Macs, servers, tablets, monitors, networking equipment, interactive displays and more.

Yes. If equipment still has resale value, we may be able to offer a rebate. Our aim is always to maximise reuse wherever possible before recycling equipment that has reached the end of its useful life.

7. Can you help with complete ICT suite clearances?

Yes. Whether you are replacing a single classroom or an entire school's IT infrastructure, we can organise collections of all redundant equipment safely and efficiently.

8. Is your recycling service WEEE compliant?

Yes. All equipment is processed in accordance with current WEEE regulations. Items suitable for refurbishment are reused responsibly, while non-repairable equipment is recycled through authorised treatment facilities.

9. Can school staff witness the data destruction process?

Where on-site data destruction has been arranged, your staff can witness the destruction process for complete peace of mind. We also provide full documentation confirming completion.
