Many qualifying business collections can be provided without a collection charge where equipment quantity, route efficiency or recoverable value offsets the cost. Small, dedicated and higher-assurance projects are priced around what they actually require.

Qualifying business collection

Often no collection charge

Best for normal business refreshes where volume, route efficiency or recoverable asset value can cover the collection cost.

Small collection

Contribution may apply

For smaller quantities where the equipment value or route cannot fully offset transport and processing costs.

  • Collection charges are agreed before the job is accepted
  • Useful for small batches of laptops, phones or tablets

Dedicated / enhanced project

Quoted to scope

For time-critical, onsite, high-assurance or detailed-audit requirements that need dedicated labour, transport or evidence.

  • Dedicated driver or team where required
  • Onsite or witnessed destruction can be scoped
  • Device-level logs, degauss records or enhanced auditing where agreed
  • Collection and destruction costs separated where appropriate
What changes the price

Six factors usually matter more than a headline rate.

This is why a ten-device office collection and a ten-device high-assurance destruction project can legitimately have very different costs.

Equipment quantity & typeModern reusable laptops and mixed low-value peripherals do not have the same recovery potential or processing effort.
Location & accessDistance, parking, restricted loading, stairs, security procedures and central-London access can change the collection cost.
TimingRoute-compatible work is usually more efficient than a dedicated same-day or fixed-time collection.
Data-destruction methodStandard processing, logged erasure, degaussing, physical destruction and onsite work involve different labour and evidence.
Audit depthA basic collection record is different from serial-level scanning at multiple custody stages with per-device processing evidence.
Reuse & value recoverySuitable modern equipment can sometimes offset project costs, subject to specification, condition, management status and market demand.

Standard collection vs enhanced assurance

A normal collection can include the standard project documentation and secure processing route agreed with the customer. Where a client needs detailed erasure logs, degauss evidence, witnessed processing, onsite work or deeper serial-level auditing, those requirements should be quoted as an enhanced service rather than hidden inside the collection price.

Locked and managed devices

MDM, activation locks, firmware controls or other organisation management can prevent reuse and create additional administration. Where Bioteknik is asked to spend additional time attempting to resolve locked devices, an agreed administration charge may apply. Removing management controls before collection remains the preferred route.

Charges are agreed before booking. Where a collection or enhanced service is chargeable, the applicable scope and price are confirmed before the project is booked. This avoids applying a generic headline rate to work that has materially different transport, processing or reporting requirements.
Evidence & credentials

A lower price should not mean vague paperwork.

The service scope should state what collection, data-security and reporting evidence is included. Company licences and registrations are kept separately so they can be checked without confusing them with project-specific destruction records.
