Laptop Recycling & Secure Data Destruction for Businesses

Bioteknik provides secure, compliant and fully documented laptop recycling and data destruction services for businesses, public sector organisations and educational institutions across the UK.

From single-site refresh projects to multi-site rollouts, we manage the entire lifecycle of redundant laptops – from secure collection and data sanitisation through to environmentally responsible recycling and reuse.

Professional Laptop Recycling for UK Organisations

Modern organisations refresh laptops frequently, often leaving large numbers of devices in storage, at risk of loss, theft or data exposure.

Bioteknik offers a structured, auditable solution that allows you to dispose of redundant laptops safely, recover value where possible and demonstrate compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

We support:

  • Corporate and SME office environments

  • Schools, colleges and universities

  • Healthcare providers and NHS trusts

  • Local authorities and central government departments

  • Charities and not-for-profit organisations

🔵 Laptop Recycling FAQs

1. Do you provide free laptop recycling collections?

Yes. Most business laptop recycling collections are free, depending on the type, condition and quantity of equipment. We will confirm any minimum volumes or charges when you make an enquiry.

2. Can you guarantee that all data is removed from our laptops?

Yes. All data-bearing devices are sanitised using approved methods such as certified software erasure, degaussing or physical destruction. We provide certificates of destruction so you have a clear record for compliance.

3. Do you accept laptops that are damaged or not working?

Yes. We accept working and non-working laptops. Devices that cannot be refurbished are broken down for material recovery in line with WEEE regulations.

4. What happens to the laptops after you collect them?

Laptops are taken to our secure facility, where they are logged, have data-bearing media sanitised, and are then either refurbished for reuse or processed for component and material recycling.

5. Can you provide an inventory of the laptops you process?

Yes. We can provide asset reports and inventories as part of our IT asset disposal service, tailored to your internal reporting requirements.

6. Do you offer on-site data destruction for laptops?

Yes. For organisations requiring an additional level of assurance, we can arrange on-site destruction of hard drives and other data-bearing media, combined with off-site processing of the remaining equipment.

7. Can we receive rebates for newer laptops?

Yes. Recent-generation, high-specification laptops may qualify for rebate following inspection and grading. Any rebate will be agreed once the equipment has been assessed.

8. Do you work with multi-site organisations?

Yes. We regularly support multi-site projects and can coordinate collections from multiple locations as part of a single recycling or refresh programme.
